Clean Sweep for Dover Jaycees at the 2017 Year End Convention! by April Murray
Several awards were given Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Annual Delaware Jaycee’s Year End Convention. At this years convention, several Jaycees from different chapters were able to compete in Write up, Speak Up, and Master Speak Up. We are proud to say that the Dover Jaycees placed in all positions for the Master Speak Up Competition and took first place in Speak Up!! For Speak Up Dover’s own Kat Wyre won first place! Not bad for a new Jaycee! In Master Speak Up, first place going to our very own State President Brandy Armiger, second to Dover Chairman of the Board, April Murray, and tied for third is this year’s State Vice President Elizabeth Balogh and 2017 Dover Chapter President Joey Tabler.
Among other awards received by members of the Dover Chapter, State President Brandy’s family was awarded the Most Outstanding Jaycee Family Award. We were also excited to see two Delaware Jaycee members become JCI (Junior Chamber International ) Senators. Congratulations Eric Norimatsu and Alex Mili for your induction into this prestigious organization of outstanding leaders.
A Message  from the Chapter President: Joey Tabler

I am pleased to be the new president of the Dover Jaycees, the leading organization of active young citizens in Kent County, Delaware.  Though I have only been a Jaycee for a year and a half, I am extremely excited about the opportunities that lay before this organization.  Over the course of the next year I hope to guide the Jaycees towards community involvement at a level that it has yet to accomplish.  In so doing, I am confident that we will serve as a training ground for our members to build the skills necessary for them to succeed in their professions. I look forward to sharing our progress with you over the course of the next twelve months.
Best,
Joey Tabler
President, Dover Junior Chamber(Jaycees)
